In order to make your stay as pleasant as possible, the Management requests your co-operation in observing the following as an agreement between the Guest and Voyage Hostel (hereinafter called ‘Management’) under which rooms or beds are permitted to be used during the stay of the Guest:-
1. Tariff
The tariff is for the room or bed only, and is exclusive of any government taxes applicable. Other services are available at extra cost such as early check in, late check out and storage.
2. Settlement of Invoices
Invoices must be settled on presentation. Cheques are not accepted.
3. Check-in
Check-in starts at 3 pm.
Early check-in may be available for a fee of £15 per hour, subject to availability. Please contact the Management to assess if available on the day of your day.
Prior to receiving the code to your room, Self Check-In is required. Please send a copy of your ID card, Passport or Residence Card by email or WhatsApp to the Management so that Self Check-In can be validated.
Should the original booking be amended in anyway such as change of name, number of people, or date, a £35 change of booking fee will be charged, and any appropriate additional costs payable.
4. Departure
Check out is at the latest by 12 pm summer time and 11 am winter time.
A late check out fee of £15 per hour will be charged if check out has not been completed on time.
Please inform the Management if you wish to retain your room longer. An extension will be given depending on the availability. If the room is available, a late check out fee of £15 per hour will be payable.
On failure of the Guest to vacate the room, the Management shall have the right to remove the Guest and his/her belongings from the room occupied by the Guest and off the property, and to charge a fee for this service.
5. Use of Communal Kitchen
The communal kitchen is available to all Guests.
If you use the kitchen, you need to wash the dishes that you use, and keep the kitchen clean for the next Guest.
A mop and a hoover are available to all Guests. It is recommended that all Guests place their food in privacy bags when using the communal fridge.
The Management will not in any way whatsoever be responsible for any loss / or damage to the Guest’s belongings located in the communal fridge.
If you break any kitchen equipment such as glasses and plates, please kindly replace them.
6. Luggage Storage
Subject to availability, Guests can use storage rooms for their luggage at a fee. The Management should be contacted to assess availability.
7. Guest’s Belongings
Guests are particularly requested to lock the door of their rooms when going out or to bed. The Management will not in any way be responsible for any loss or damage to the Guest’s belongings or any other property from either the hotel room or the storage rooms or any other part of the hotel for any cause whatsoever including theft or pilferage.
8. Pets
Pets are allowed in private rooms subject to a daily fee paid in advance. Pets are not allowed in any of the dorms or the communal kitchen under any circumstances.
9. Visitors
The hostel is only to be by used by paying customers. Visitors are not permitted.
10. Hazardous Goods
Bringing goods and/or storing of raw or exposed cinema films, or any other article of a combustible or hazardous nature and/or prohibited goods and/or goods of objectionable nature is prohibited.
The Guest shall be solely liable and responsible to the Management, its other guests, invitees visitors, agents and servants for all loss, financial or otherwise, and damage that may be caused by such articles or as a result of the guests’ own negligence and non-observance of any / instructions.
Gambling, contraband, prostitution, weapons, explosives, flammable objects, poisons, drugs, animals and pungent food are strictly prohibited on hotel premises.
The Management has the right to request any Guest to vacate his/her room or other areas of the hostel forthwith, should they not respect this policy. Management has the right to remove the Guest’s luggage and belongings from the room occupied by him/her in the event this rule is broken.
11. Smoking policy
Voyage Hostel has a strict indoor non-smoking policy.
Guests are not allowed to smoke in their rooms and indoor communal areas, which includes vaping.
Guests can smoke or vape in the designated outside area. External doors must be closed. The Management has the right to request any Guest to vacate his/her room or other areas of the hostel forthwith, should they do not respect this smoking policy. In case of the default, the Management has the right to remove the Guest luggage and belongings from the room occupied by him/her and off the property.
12. Company’s Lien On Guest’s Luggage And Belongings
In the case of default in the payment of dues, the Management shall have the lien on their luggage and belongings, and be entitled to detain the same and to sell or auction such property at any time without reference to the guest. The net sale proceeds will be appropriate towards the amount due by the guest without prejudice to the Management’s rights to adopt such further recovery proceedings as may be required.
13. Damage to Property
The Guest or organisations renting Voyage Hostel for the use of the Guest will be held responsible for any loss or damage to the hotel property caused by themselves, their guests or any person for whom they are responsible, and will be liable for compensation.
14. Cleaning Rooms
The rooms are cleared daily during summer time. During winter time, the hostel can only be booked as a self-catering accommodation, which means that Guests or organisations renting Voyage Hostel must clean their own rooms.
At winter time, a cleaning fee may be payable in addition to the room charge as when a guest does not provide the room back in its original clean state.
15. Refund Policy
We have a no refunds policy. The guest will be charged the total price of the reservation if they cancel at any time. If the guest doesn’t show up, they will be charged the total price of the reservation. We recommend that Guest takes travel insurance to cover cancellation costs.
16. Management’s Rights
It is agreed that the Guest will conduct him/ herself in a respectable manner and will not cause any nuisance or annoyance within the hostel premises.
The Management has the right to request any Guest to vacate his/her room or other areas of the hotel forthwith, without previous notice, and the guest shall be bound to vacate when requested to do so. In case of the default, the Management has the right to remove the Guest luggage and belongings from the room occupied by him/her and off the property.
17. Relation between the Management and Guest(s)
Nothing hereinabove shall continue or be deemed to constitute, or create any tenancy or sub- tenancy, or any other right to interact in the hostel premises or any part of portion thereof, in favour of any Guest, and the Management shall always be deemed to be in full and absolute possession of the whole of the hostel premises.
18. Government rules and regulations and application of laws
Guests are requested to observe, abide by confirm to and be bound by all applicable acts and laws and Government rules and regulations in force.
19. CCTV, Photographs and Videos
CCTV are located in the communal areas for the Guest’s safety. The Management may provide a copy to the local authorities as and when a request is received.
Taking photographs and videos on the hostel premises for commercial or public usage is not permitted. Those who do so may be subject to civil or criminal prosecution.
MANAGEMENT RESERVES TO ITSELF THE RIGHT TO ADD TO, OR ALTER OR AMEND ANY OF THE ABOVE TERMS, CONDITIONS AND RULES WHICH ARE A PART AND AN ABSTRACT OF THE LODGING ACT.
